Materials may be returned inside the library during normal operating hours. For returning
materials after hours, please use the drop-box located in the wall near the main
library door.
Library materials may be renewed twice provided there are no holds currently placed on the
titles. For renewal by phone, please call 828-2326 during library hours.

Entertainment videos/DVDs are subject to a late fee of $1 per movie per day.
Damaged/Lost Materials
Damaged/lost materials must be replaced. If an exact replacement cannot be
obtained, please talk to the library staff about other alternatives. Usually a
title in the same subject area and of the same value is acceptable.
Please remember - library materials are government property. Sponsors are
ultimately responsible for all materials checked out by family members as well
as themselves.
Facilities

The Mountain Home AFB offers a quiet place to read, study and browse. We have:

Current magazine and newspaper titles include the
Idaho Statesman, USA Today, and the Wall Street Journal. Non-current editions of magazines and newspapers are available for check-out, or
feel free to relax and read the most recent edition in our periodicals area.

For younger readers, we have specialized rooms. The Easy Room is for the
youngest patrons and features many hundreds of the books written for beginner
readers or those who enjoy having stories read to them.
Tables and chairs are available in appropriate sizes!

The teen room
contains fiction, non-fiction and books on CD/Tape for both fun and educational
reading. There are plenty of tables and chairs around for either relaxing or
studying after school.
Computer Resources
The Library has 15 adult and 6 youth computer workstations equipped with Microsoft
Office. All of the workstations offer internet access, and two network printers
(including black and white and color). Printing costs are .05¢ per page for black
& white and .25¢
for color. Please sign
in at the main library desk when you wish to use the computers and the staff
will provide you with a password. Internet filters are in place, but parents are
responsible for monitoring their children's internet usage. Mountain Home
AFB Library is in no way responsible or liable for protecting your personal
information accessed during the use of these computers or services.
We also offer free wireless Internet access
for our patrons during normal library operating hours.
Other Library Services
Inter-Library Loans
If you are looking for a particular book that we don't own, want to chase up
some more titles by your favorite author, or are researching an area and need
additional material, please ask at the front desk about inter-library loans. Via
a network with many thousands of other libraries, we can request the loan of
specific items from another library for you. There is no charge for this
service, but it varies from regular book check-outs in several ways - it usually
takes at LEAST 7-10 days to receive an item, the check-out time varies per item
so it is not possible to tell in advance how long you will be able to keep it,
no renewals are possible, and we do not request textbooks that people taking
classes have been required to obtain.
Copies
There is a photocopier available for public use in the main library
room. Copies are .10¢
each for black and white - .25¢
for color.

Faxes
The library will send or receive faxes on your behalf. The fax number is (208)
832-9840. Charges are $1 per
page (not including a free cover sheet), with a $10 ceiling.
Typewriters
A typewriter is available in the
conference room. Please feel free to enter
and use it as you require.
